This song was written for a friend of mine who was going through a very difficult time. I was trying to think of something to say to her to lift her spirits when I wrote this song. Her name is not Emily, I was thinking of a three syllable name that sounded like hers and Emily popped in to my head. This song is very personal to me, and I think of her every time I sing it. My friend is a very talented musician and is doing fine now.
