I wrote this song to honor my great grandmother Mamie! She was one of the most loving people on this Earth. I miss her deeply, this song is bittersweet. I remember all the talks we had around her kitchen table when I visited her after school. She was wonderful at dispensing advice, and lived life to the fullest. I will carry her wisdom and spirit in my heart forever.
